These work together seamlessly for a smooth and well-functioning thermal system. But how do you choose the right sensors and what should you pay attention to? We'll be happy to explain!

Resolution sensors are available from Dugoshop in various versions, including the RPD sensors for Solar power/heating and drinking water. The choice between these sensors is mainly determined by the function of the installation. A solar sensor focuses on a different point within an installation, is more resistant to high temperatures and can detect extremely small temperature differences very quickly. This is very important to prevent heat loss.

A sensor for drinking water is actually more resistant to lower temperatures, and meets the strict European requirements for this sensor to come into contact with drinking water. This sensor offers tight and accurate temperature measurement within a limited temperature range. This is very important when monitoring Legionella risks and the correct temperature distribution in the system.

The material of both sensors also differs greatly, so that they are intended for the function they perform.

Choosing the right sensors is very important to guarantee reliable measurements within an installation. This way, incorrect measurements can quickly arise, which will not make you happy as a user. RPD Sensor - Solar/Heating

When monitoring the system performance and pressure of a solar thermal system, many users opt for a Resol RPD sensor focused on solar energy.
This sensor measures, among other things:
Pressure of the glycol-water mixture in the primary circuit of a solar energy system.
Temperature and relative pressure of the solar energy system.
This sensor is also used to detect leaks and overpressure throughout the entire system. Especially due to high temperatures and downtime.

RPD Sensor - Water supply

This sensor is often chosen when your system comes into direct contact with sanitary tap water. Consider applications such as: domestic drinking water systems, hot water circulation, and boilers.
This sensor is made from materials that comply with strict drinking water standards and KIWA guidelines, and similar European directives. The sensor will not contaminate the water, is mindful of the presence of Legionella in the water, and is intended for human use.
The aim of this sensor is to accurately measure water pressure and temperature in the hot water pipe, without risk of taste contamination, corrosion or other harmful substances in the water.

Effect of faulty sensors

If you don't choose the correct sensors, false alarms can occur. These sensors are specifically made for a particular function, and can only perform optimally in that function. For example, a solar water heater might switch on too late because the temperatures are not being transmitted correctly, or a central heating boiler may consume unnecessary energy.
