The 230 Volt Temperature Controller is a very compact device specially designed for switching electrical equipment. It is suitable for devices that both cool and heat, making it versatile.
This temperature controller has various applications, including regulating the temperature in a wine cellar, greenhouse, aquarium, terrarium, animal enclosure, cooling fan, and many more.
One of the key features of the 230 Volt Temperature Controller is that the switching temperature can be freely selected within a wide range of -55 to +127 degrees Celsius. The built-in sensor measures the current temperature in the room where the device is placed. It is even possible to order an extension cable for the sensor if needed.
The temperature controller automatically determines whether to heat or cool based on the setpoint. To prevent continuous switching on and off, the user can set the hysteresis. In practice, a difference of 2 or 3 degrees Celsius is usually sufficient.
The 230 Volt Temperature Controller comes with an external sensor that is waterproof and has a metal tip that can be safely touched. The 2-metre connecting cable can, if desired, be extended at your own discretion up to 50 metres. This allows for precise temperature control, even in damp environments.
In addition to controlling heating appliances such as a radiant heater or electric radiator, it is also possible to control electric frost protection, such as a de-icing cable or frost guard.
The temperature switch is not only useful for controlling temperatures in specific applications, but can also be used as a digital thermometer for climate control in various spaces, such as a cold room, warehouse, stable, and more.
The device has a memory function for the set values, so all settings are retained, even during a power failure or when unplugged. Although there are no LED indicator lights, the user can read the actual temperature on the LCD display. Furthermore, the temperature controller provides a fault notification if there is a problem with the sensor or its wiring.
