Product description
The automatic controller with a waterproof temperature sensor is a handy device that acts as an on/off heat switch to control the water temperature in an aquarium or pond, among other things. Using the set temperatures, the controller determines when to switch the heater on or off.
The controller is equipped with a 230-volt output (built-in ‘socket’), allowing you to directly connect a heater or heating element operating on mains voltage. The box itself is made of sturdy plastic and is intended for wall mounting, although it is not suitable for outdoor use.
The controller comes with an external temperature sensor in a waterproof design. This sensor measures the temperature in the water and transmits this information to the controller. On the controller's LED light, you can easily see whether the heater is switched on.
Please note that although the temperature sensor is suitable for outdoor use, the box itself is not suitable for outdoor placement. If you want to use the controller in an outdoor environment, we recommend using the pond thermostat. This thermostat features a robust waterproof Pt1000 sensor with a 10-metre-long cable.
Applications
Besides controlling the water temperature, the controller also functions as a digital thermometer. You can use the regulator to monitor the temperature. The highest and lowest measured temperatures are stored in the controller's memory for you to consult. Even when the mains power is cut, the set temperatures and stored measurements remain in memory
The temperature sensor can be placed ‘remotely’. This means you can place the sensor further away from the box, for example in the water of the pond or aquarium, while keeping the box itself inside. The connection cable of the temperature sensor can be extended up to 50 metres. If the cable is interrupted or short-circuited, a fault message appears to inform you of the problem.
Included: plastic temperature sensor that may hang in the water! It is not suitable for salt water. View options with multiple sensors here.
