Product description
Saving with a switch for the circulation pump
This energy-saving control is specially designed for domestic circulation pumps. The system uses menu-driven pump control, saving energy costs in hot water preparation and extending the life of the circulator.
Applications
Temperature difference measurement
The circulation pump switch uses two sensors on the hot water circuit. One sensor measures the temperature of the outgoing hot water in the riser pipe, while the other sensor records the temperature of the return pipe to the boiler. The temperature difference between the two sensors, combined with the set programme, determines when to run the circulation pump. This circulation pump switch provides significant power savings.
Advantages of the circulation pump switch
- Reduced energy costs for hot water preparation.
- Suitable for both metal and plastic pipes.
- Saving on pump power costs.
- Extended life of the circulation pump.
- Contributes to the environment by reducing CO2 emissions.
- Menu with 4 setting options
The smart circulator switch includes a menu with two default settings and allows you to adjust the settings to suit your needs. When a temperature change occurs within the set time interval, the circulation pump is switched on. The pump switches off automatically after the set time or as soon as the return line reaches the desired temperature. This control ensures that the pump is completely switched off at night for optimal energy saving. In the menu, you can adjust the settings for this night mode yourself. Modes M1 and M2 are the default settings and immediately ready for use.
Circulation pump switch saves energy
Installations for hot water preparation often contain a circulation pump, which quickly provides hot water from the tap throughout the house. When this pump runs day and night, it consumes energy unnecessarily. The smart circulation pump switch automatically ensures that the pump only runs when hot water is needed. This works better than a regulation to reduce the pump speed or a timer switch. In almost all existing situations, this temperature-controlled pump switch is a better solution. Fitting the pump switch is easy, as you do not need to change anything in the installation. Easily realise significant savings in power costs yourself. Additional advantage of the circulation pump switch: longer service life of the pump, which now needs to run much less!
Perhaps also interesting is the domestic hot water controller, which works with a flow sensor.
Mode M1 - Fixed factory setting
Maximum pump running time: 15 minutes
Measurement interval: 30 minutes
Mode M2 - Fixed factory setting
Maximum pump running time: 15 minutes
Measurement interval: 60 minutes
In modes 3 and 4, you can adjust the settings to your liking.
Mode M3 (daily running time)
Here you can adjust the following values individually to suit your daily needs:
Maximum pump run time between 1 and 30 minutes, adjustable per minute
Measuring interval from 0 to 4 hours, adjustable every 15 minutes
Mode M4 (two different running times)
This mode offers different settings for weekdays (Mon-Fri) and weekends (Sun-Sun):
Maximum pump running time between 1 and 30 minutes, adjustable per minute
Measuring interval from 0 to 4 hours, adjustable every 15 minutes
Self-dimming display
The four buttons below the display allow you to operate the appliance and adjust the settings if necessary. The display lights up as soon as you press a button and switches off automatically after 1 minute. If no button is pressed for 60 seconds, the display automatically returns to the main menu from any submenu.
Avoid stuck circulation pump
To prevent jamming, the pump is switched on briefly every day. All individual settings are stored in an EEPROM memory, so they are retained in case of power failure.
Connection of pump switch
This automatic pump switch can be used almost directly in installations with a circulation pump, without interrupting the pipes. The sensors are attached with the spring clips provided and are suitable for both metal and plastic pipes. The circulation pump switch box is mounted on the wall, near the boiler. Plug the circulation pump into the socket of the control box (any timer present can be removed, as this switch includes a timer function).
