Product description
Place this plug-in thermostat between the de-icing cable and the socket. The frost protection for your water pipe will then automatically switch on as soon as the temperature becomes too low. Set the activation temperature to between 3 and 5 degrees Celsius, so the de-icing cable does not consume power at higher temperatures.
Applications
Plug-in thermostat switches on automatically
The display shows the temperature you have set. If it is colder in the relevant room, mains voltage will be supplied to the output. The connected heating cable will become active and will keep the water pipe warm. From that moment on, the current (measured) temperature will be shown on the display.
The plug-in thermostat is suitable for switching a heating cable or defrosting cord that is entirely located within a single space. You can also control electric heating appliances with this thermostat. The ‘in-socket’ thermostat is particularly useful for temporary forms of frost protection. You limit electricity consumption without forgetting to plug it in in time when frost is imminent…
Other applications plug in thermostat
Switching on electric auxiliary heating, for example a radiant heater, in a caravan, boat or other unheated space. Tip: the operation is very simple and by experimenting with a table lamp for a short while, you'll quickly grasp how it works!
Please note: this product is not suitable for use in a stable or other damp environments! For those situations, we recommend the Winter thermostat.
