Product description
This automatic changeover station protects your inverter from power surges from an external 230 Volt power source. It automatically switches your onboard voltage between the inverter (which operates on battery power) and the external mains connection. No more manually switching connection cables, with the risk of electric shocks, sparks, or damage to the inverter. When the ‘shore power’ or ‘marina power’ fails, this device automatically switches over to the battery inverter.
Applications
Robust, simple & reliable
This inverter changeover switch has a strong plastic housing with robust cable glands for the connection cables. It is equipped with two sturdy relays, featuring extra heavy-duty switch contacts. This device has no advanced functions or complicated software settings. It works very reliably and is easy to connect.
Also for battery with solar panels
When both mains power and the inverter are available, the automatic changeover switch will now automatically select your preferred power supply:
Variant 1: Conserve the battery when mains voltage is available. This will save the battery when you have access to mains voltage (harbour, campsite or other situations).
Variant 2: Use the battery until it is empty and then automatically switch to mains power. This setting is intended for batteries with a solar panel charging system, where you make the most of free electricity.
Connecting with clamp connections
The inverter changeover switch has 3 screw terminals for the 230 Volt connections. In addition, there is a terminal block for connecting the earth wires of the connecting cables. All connections are clearly marked and easily accessible; see photo. The manual contains connection diagrams.
