We supply two types of heat cable.
Heating cable with or without thermostat!
We can supply this heating cable with or without a clixon (internal thermostat). When the version without a clixon is chosen, this cable is a constant wattage cable. This means that the exact same wattage is delivered over the entire length of the cable at all times.
This cable reaches a maximum of 65°C and a power output of 11W/m. The cable is always ”on” without a regulator. You can optionally control the heating cable with an external thermostat or regulator, which can be found at the bottom of the product page!
This heating cable has recently become available with a clixon. This clixon acts as an internal thermostat, with a switch-on temperature of +3 degrees Celsius and a switch-off temperature of +12 degrees Celsius. Ideal for applications that do not require specific temperatures! When the cable (with clixon) turns on, an equal current flows through this cable.

Applications
Heating cables are primarily used for internal and surface heating of tanks and pipework, such as sewage pipes, water pipes, water meters, and water taps, where a flexible heating element is required. The cables are available in standard versions with optional associated control technology. The cable with a clixon is used around a pipe. The clixon is located at the end of the cable, and to ensure good temperature measurements, we advise against placing it inside a pipe. The cable without a clixon can be placed inside a pipe, possibly using an external controller.
Plug and play is standard with this cable. An external thermostat/controller or an internal thermostat in the form of a built-in clixon, which automatically switches the heating cable on at +3°C and off at +12°C, is optional. Electric heating cables are used in various frost protection applications, such as:

Mounting Heat cable
Installation is easy to perform. To be on the safe side, we have prepared installation instructions, which are included when ordering the heat cable. For completeness, these instructions are supplied as standard in various languages. You can find them printed out in the delivery box.

Interpretation:
- Small pipes (up to 25 mm) → 11 W/m is usually enough.
- Medium-sized pipes (25–50 mm) → depending on insulation 11–25 W/m.
- Large pipes (>50 mm) → almost always 25 W/m.
