A heating tape is used to electrically maintain pipes, tanks, and fittings at temperature. The 40FSR heating cable is a self-regulating heating cable specially developed for frost protection and temperature maintenance. The cable automatically adjusts its heat output to the ambient temperature: it delivers more power when it gets colder, and the heat output decreases by itself at higher temperatures. This prevents the cable from overheating and means that an external thermostat is not always necessary. If you want the cable to operate at a specific temperature, or if you prefer to control the cable yourself, you can purchase an external controller for this cable.
