Product description
When the sensor runs dry, this low-water alarm will disconnect power to the pond pump. The switching point (minimum permissible water level) is freely adjustable.
Applications
Pond pump stops as pond empties
As long as the sensor remains under water (i.e. wet), the socket provides voltage for the 230 Volt pump. The placement (height) of the sensor allows you to determine the switch-off level.
If the water drops to this level (regardless of the cause), the sensor will run dry and the pond pump will automatically switch off. This system is suitable for 230V devices, such as a circulation pump for a filter.
Alarm at too low water
In the normal situation, a wet sensor provides mains voltage at the outlet. However, do you want a warning (alarm) if the water in the pond has sunk too far?
To connect an alarm siren or a strobe light (optical alarm), switch the wire on L1 of the relay to L2 in the device, as described in the manual.
Installing low-water alarms
The low-water alarm has a delay of about 20 seconds, which prevents the pump from ‘pandering’ (continuous switching on and off).
The plastic housing is not suitable for outdoor placement. Therefore, place the box indoors or build it in to protect it from weather conditions. The included water sensor is equipped with a plastic mounting bracket and has a 10 m connecting cable.
