Product description
Mixing valve - thermostatic control
A mixing valve (also known as a blending valve or thermostatic control) is used to safely dispense hot water.
This temperature limiter is fitted in the outlet pipe of a (solar) water heater, boiler or combi boiler, or in the hot water supply to the shower.
Hot tap water can be dangerous
Hot water, directly from the boiler, can cause burns. Furthermore, it wastes energy due to unnecessary heat loss in pipes.
In solar water heater systems, the water temperature can rise to near boiling point. Hot tap water is problematic, dangerous for children, and can be harmful to appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines.
Applications
Adding cold water
The solution is a mixing valve, which functions as an automatic thermostat control for hot water. It limits the maximum temperature of the hot water before it goes to the outlets.
This is achieved by the metered addition of cold water. In this way, you achieve a constant water temperature at every tap.
Pressure relief valve for professional use
The mixing valve is robustly designed. Applicable in sanitary installations (with or without a ring main) in care homes, sports complexes, and schools.
Energy saving through reduction of pipe losses. This control can also be used for underfloor heating with circulating water.
Mixing valve controls water temperature
This mixing valve is variably adjustable (rotary knob) between 35 and 65 degrees. It is supplied including the pictured 3/4 inch fittings with gasket set and a comprehensive manual.
Installation in the output circuit of the (solar) boiler, electric boiler or combi boiler. This temperature control works very reliably, without wires or electronics!
