Want to keep your pond frost-free in winter? That's easy with a waterproof heating cable combined with a digital pond thermostat.
You roll out the heating cable at the bottom of the pond. In this way, heat is optimally transferred to the water and nothing is lost.
Applications
Heating cable keeps the pond frost-free
Tropical fish (such as koi) have poor frost resistance. This self-regulating, waterproof heating cable prevents the water from freezing. After winter, simply pull the cable back up and store it away.
Note: this kit is intended to prevent freezing, not to heat water for cultivation purposes.
Keep frost-free with a waterproof cable
The length of the heating cable determines the heat output. There are 7 cable lengths available, suitable for ponds up to about 20 m³:

Higher power does not automatically mean more energy consumption. The thermostat simply switches off earlier once the set temperature (a few degrees above zero) is reached.
Important: Spread the heating cable well over the bottom.
Tip: Check beforehand whether the chosen cable length fits your pond.
Waterproof sensor for accurate measurement
The digital pond thermostat works with an external temperature sensor that measures the temperature just above the heating cable. The sensor cable is 10 metres long and can be extended to 50 metres. In case of a cable break or short circuit, the thermostat gives an error message.
Digital pond thermostat
The thermostat makes it easy to set the switching temperature. Place the box in a dry room, such as a shed or storage room. An LED light shows whether the heater is active.
To the thermostat, you connect both the heating cable and the sensor. If necessary, you can use a 230 V extension lead for the heating cable.
Check temperature
The thermostat also works as a digital thermometer. You can read the water temperature all year round, even when the heating is off. The highest and lowest measured temperatures are stored, as are the set values - even in case of power failure.

Note: Secure the end of the sensor so that it cannot move due to flow.
