Product description
Power outages can have unpleasant consequences, so please place this power cut alarm between the socket and the appliance to be protected. As soon as the mains voltage fails, this power failure detector immediately sounds the alarm: a light comes on and a beep alarm sounds.

Applications
Monitoring of cooling and freezing equipment
The power failure alarm also monitors whether the device is connected. The alarm automatically activates if an unauthorised person pulls out the plug or removes the alarm from the socket. If the mains voltage returns, the power failure alarm will continue to sound, letting you know there has been a power outage. This is particularly important for devices that do not automatically switch back on after a power failure. Thanks to the built-in mini-battery, the acoustic alarm will continue to sound for 12 hours until someone hears it and presses the reset button.
Monitor mains voltage
The power failure alarm (or power failure detector) also works when unplugged. It then functions as a mains voltage monitor. This is useful when you want to be alerted in a specific room or situation, for example, when the residual current device trips. In normal operation - mains voltage present - the green indicator light is on. As soon as the power failure alarm detects an interruption in the mains voltage, both alarm lights will flash. Alternative: a GSM message fails if the mains voltage drops.
Monitoring of a 16A circuit
Using a distribution socket, you can monitor multiple devices simultaneously. You can connect 3500 Watts to the power failure alarm. This makes it possible to protect an entire group (normally 16 A) against mains voltage failure. Delivery includes 2 safety caps (child lock) for the plug + comprehensive manual.
Power cut or mains interruption
A power outage occurs when the 230 Volt mains supply fails. This can happen due to an internal cause, for instance, if the residual current device trips, or due to a fault in your installation. You can usually resolve the problem yourself (or have it resolved). In the case of an external cause, you are entirely dependent. You won't know how long it will last. Power outages (also called power failures) can be caused by storms, ice, lightning, floods, excavation work, or technical problems at a power plant or substation. There are thousands of power outages every year in the Netherlands. When the lights unexpectedly go out, you immediately notice something is wrong. However, during the daytime, such an alarm system for power outages doesn't work... The consequence is, for example, that the freezer and refrigerator begin to defrost, or that the aquarium pump stops working.
Other devices (modem, router, burglar alarm systems) usually require a reset after mains power is restored. A user of an apnoea device also depends on mains power. In all these cases, it is important that you receive a notification as soon as possible in the event of a power failure.
