RVS Float: Level sensor for water and other liquids
The stainless steel float is a reliable sensor for detecting the liquid level in tanks, containers and basins. Thanks to the single-pole switching contact, this float can be easily used to control a pump, alarm unit or detection system. The sensor is suitable for tap water, rainwater, dirty water and various other liquids such as diesel, petrol and oil.
Application and operation of the stainless steel float
When the liquid level rises or falls, the float moves with it and switches the internal contact. This signal can be used for:
- Alarm notifications (e.g. via alarm unit or GSM dialer)
- Level control with MIN and MAX signals
- Automatic pump control
The float switch can be mounted either hanging or standing, depending on the desired function (make or break contact). Reversing from NO to NC (or vice versa) is possible by placing the float body inverted on the vertical shaft.
The connecting wires can be extended up to approximately 50 metres with a 2-wire signal cable.
Please note: this stainless steel float sensor is not suitable for switching mains voltage.
