RVS floats: special design for accurate level detection
Our stainless steel floats are designed for reliable detection of liquid levels in tanks, containers and basins. They function without problems in tap water, demineralised water, rainwater and dirty water, but are also suitable for various other liquids such as diesel, petrol and oil.
Application and operation of the stainless steel float sensor
The float sensor contains an internal switch contact that responds to changes in the liquid level. When the float moves up or down, the contact switches and transmits a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) signal to a water alarm or level controller.
Switching from NC to NO (or vice versa) is easily possible by placing the float body upside down on the vertical shaft.
Important: These float switches are not suitable for switching mains voltage.
Right-angled stainless steel float switch
This right-angled version is intended for installation in the vertical side wall of a tank or vessel. The sensor features a single-pole NO/NC changeover contact. The connecting wires can be extended to approx. 50 metres using a 2-wire signal cable.
Double ‘Duo’ Stainless Steel Float
The twin float is equipped with two floats on one shaft, with a fixed mutual distance of 13 mm. This makes it ideal for level control with two separate switching points. Each float has its own single-pole changeover contact.
The connecting wires can be extended up to 50 metres with a 4-wire signal cable. Colour coding:
- Upper float: red
- Bottom float: black
