Product description
A thermolint is the powerful solution against freezing of gutters and downpipes. Also suitable for temporary use, e.g. to prevent roof leaks. All you need is a socket (or extension cable) with rim earthing. In combination with a winter thermostat, you can leave the plug in without extra energy consumption. ALTERNATIVE: TC-500 THERMOSTAT. With this thermostat, you have more options like setting your own switching temperatures. Also, this thermostat is available with WiFi, and you can use an app to control everything remotely!
Applications
- In gutter, drainpipe or sewer pipe
- On 75 to 110 mm water pipes
- Heat pumps and other devices
- Roof units for air-conditioning and HVAC equipment
- Around water pipe to houseboat
More heat at low temperature
This robust thermal ribbon produces a lot of heat. It is self-regulating and its heat capacity depends on the ambient temperature: where the cable comes into contact with snow or ice, it will release more heat. The colder the environment, the lower the resistance of the carbon body in the cable. For fixing, use self-adhesive insulation tape or aluminium tape.
Thermolint water pipe
The thermal ribbon is strong and may be used underground, in water and (partly) indoors. The connection between the connecting cable and the heating element is of such quality that this thermolint is suitable for wet applications. It is protected against overheating even when the ribbon is applied overlapping (“crossed”).
Frost protection of thick pipe
Example: with Thermolint, you can protect a 110 mm diameter pipe fitted with 20 mm insulation from severe frost, down to -30°C.

Interpretation:
- Small pipes (up to 25 mm) → 11 W/m is usually enough.
- Medium-sized pipes (25–50 mm) → depending on insulation 11–25 W/m.
- Large pipes (>50 mm) → almost always 25 W/m.
