Automatic water dosing system

With the WDS PRO.2 water dosing system, you can dispense the exact required amount of water fully automatically, without manual intervention. Whether you're filling a tank, controlling a process, or dosing water in a production environment, this system ensures you always get the correct amount of water, accurate to the litre.

In many situations, time is lost due to manual filling, checking, and stopping. Furthermore, the chance of errors is high: too much water means waste, too little water can disrupt processes. The WDS PRO.2 dosing system prevents this entirely by automating the process. You simply set the desired number of litres, and the system does the rest.

Water dosing system operation

The system is designed to dispense water fully automatically. You set the desired volume in advance, ranging from 1 to 9,999 litres. Once you start the cycle, the solenoid valve opens and the water begins to flow. The water meter with a pulse transmitter accurately records the amount of water that has flowed through.

The moment the set amount is reached, the valve automatically shuts off the water supply. This happens without delay or manual control, ensuring you always have a consistent and reproducible dosage. This makes the system particularly suitable for processes where accuracy is essential. Follow the steps below for the correct operation of the system!

  1. The user sets the required number of litres.
  2. The solenoid valve opens to let water through.
  3. The water meter with a counter registers the number of litres.
  4. Solenoid valve closes water supply upon reaching the set quantity.
  5. The water dosing system is ready for the next dispensing cycle.

What can you use the automatic watering system for?

The WDS PRO.2 water dosing system is used across a variety of sectors where controlled water dosing is important. For example, this includes the automatic filling of water tanks or reservoirs, where overflow must be prevented. In production environments, such as the food industry, it is also important that each cycle contains exactly the same amount of water.

Furthermore, the system is highly suitable for applications in agriculture and livestock farming, where water often needs to be administered in fixed quantities. In cleaning facilities and industrial processes, the dosing system ensures a constant and efficient water supply, without the need for continuous employee supervision.

Thanks to the option of operating with an external start button, the system is ideal for series applications. The last set amount is stored in memory, allowing you to repeat the same dosage every time with a single press of a button.

Water dosage per litre

With this universal water dispensing system, you can accurately dispense a specific amount of water. The system's controller has a range of 1 to 9,999 litres, in increments of 1 litre. When the set amount is reached, the connected water valve (solenoid valve) automatically shuts off the water supply. The water dispensing system is available with or without a matching Solenoid valve for mains water, in 3/4″ of 1″ version. The controller supplies the power for the 230 V solenoid valve (via its changeover contact). A 12 or 24 Volt valve can be connected via a 230 V transformer.

Hoe kies je het juiste automatische waterdoseersysteem?

When it comes to automatic water dosing systems, several options are available. If you fill a tank of, for example, 300 litres daily, you can opt for the 3/4” or 1” connection. If you fill multiple 1000-litre tanks per day, it’s best to choose the 1” connection. If you need to fill a system of 5000 litres or more quickly, opt for the 2” connection.

All these options are, of course, dependent on the pipe size. The larger the valve, the more water it will let through, and the faster. Do you have any questions about this? Feel free to get in touch; we'll be happy to help you choose the right system!

Install watering system

The system consists of a controller, a water meter with a pulse transmitter, a solenoid valve and an external start/pause button. These components work seamlessly together to ensure reliable and accurate operation.

The controller is mounted in a fixed location and operates on 230 Volts. It controls the solenoid valve via the switch contact. The water meter is installed in the pipe and transmits how much water has flowed through via pulses. Thanks to this design, the system is robust and suitable for long-term use in both light and intensive applications.

The installation requires basic knowledge of electrical engineering, but is logically constructed. This makes the system highly applicable in both existing and new installations.

External pushbutton for series operation

When the same amount of water needs to be dispensed frequently, the external Start/Pause button saves time. The control box has a 2-wire connection for this purpose, allowing the operating button to be placed at the workstation. The last set dosage (number of litres) remains in memory, so the relevant employee does not need to use the control panel on the controller. It is sufficient to press the external button for each new dispensing cycle. A dispensing cycle can be interrupted at any time by pressing the Start button again.

Technical specifications for automatic water dosing system

The system consists of 4 components: controller & external Start/Pause button, water meter with pulse generator, and a solenoid valve. You can find further specifications in the tabs above this description. We have described the specifications for each component, which is quite handy!

Assembly Instructions

  1. Place the meter in the water supply pipe.
  2. Screw the solenoid valve onto the outlet.
  3. Connect control box to pulse transmitter.
  4. Connect switch contact to solenoid valve.
