The water leak detector can be used anywhere as it runs on a standard 9 Volt battery. This detector emits a loud siren tone as soon as its detection pins become damp or wet. At the same time, the alarm light will flash.
The water alarm is very sensitive and reacts as soon as you place it on your hand. This also allows you to easily test its operation.
Applications
Moisture-resistant electronics
The electronics are potted in resin, making them resistant to moisture or immersion. Furthermore, the leak detector floats on the water.
This robust leak alarm also offers a solution in places where no mains voltage is available. It is also easy to move and very suitable for use on a boat.
Waterleaks can occur in many places.
Usage examples: with dishwasher, washing machine, aquarium, in central heating room, sink cabinet, meter cupboard, utility room, toilet, bathroom, cellar, animal enclosure, or under pipes, water softener and boiler. It works completely standalone, without cabling.
You can easily install the water leak detector yourself, anywhere that could suffer water damage. The battery is accessible by unscrewing the cover. Also check other water leak alarms.
Testing operation of leak detector
To check its operation, place the detector on a damp cloth for a moment. If the battery is fine, you will immediately hear a loud siren. The alarm light will flash. No reset is necessary; as soon as you lift it, the alarm will stop.
