Electric underfloor heating | mats

Self-adhesive prefabricated underfloor heating mat for electric underfloor heating. Tiled floors in kitchen, living room, bathroom, toilet, canteens, etc.
By cutting, the floor heating mat can be divided into two -or more- adjacent strips, each 50 cm wide; see illustration.

Available without or with thermostat

This set for floor heating consists of a heating cable on a mat and a built-in thermostat. Optionally manual or with clock; see below for more info.

This thermostat works with an external temperature sensor, which is installed in the floor. For expansion (additional floor heating mat on the same thermostat), the mats are available separately.

Installing the underfloor heating mat

The electric heating wires are sewn -with a fixed spacing- to a mesh mat, which is provided with an adhesive backing. This mat is rolled out on the subfloor and then completely embedded in a thin layer of levelling compound, mortar or tile adhesive.
Because the mat is very thin, it can easily be incorporated into the adhesive of a new tiled floor -on top of the old floor- when renovating.

At one end of the underfloor heating mat is the connection cable, which also contains the return line. Three wires come out of it: phase, neutral and earth.
Caution! Do not order too large; an underfloor heating mat cannot be shortened! In practice, underfloor heating under 70-80% of the free floor area is sufficient.

Option 2: flush-mounted clock thermostat

This intelligent control has two sensors, which measure the air temperature (in the room) and the temperature in the floor. This keeps the energy consumption of the underfloor heating mat to a minimum.
Menu-driven clock thermostat with touch screen operation. Thermostat settings are retained if the mains power is cut.
