Descaling water saves money

Prevent limescale deposits and save energy: The electronic descaler and the limescale neutralizer prevent limescale deposits and limescale deposits. For large installations, such as in apartments, and professional use, there is the Anti-calc device.

Lime in tap water

Tap water contains minerals such as sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Because tap water contains calcium, limescale also remains in the pipes of the installation and water-using devices. This lime deposit (calcium carbonate or scale) becomes increasingly thicker over time.

If you use a lot of hot water, there will be extra limescale deposits. Limescale in taps, shower head, boiler, washing machine, quooker and other equipment is a nuisance. Ultimately, it can lead to leakage and other damage. Lime is a poor conductor of heat, because it forms an insulating layer on heat exchangers, which causes them to use more electricity. Limescale therefore leads to higher energy costs.

Hard water and soft water

Hard water is tap water with a lot of minerals, such as calcium carbonate. You can recognize hard water by clogged shower heads and stony granules in the sieve of the tap. Tap water with a high hardness makes it more difficult for soap, shampoo and detergent to work. The harder the water, the more soap you need to use to get the desired lather. Washing with hard water is therefore more expensive than washing with soft water. In addition, hard water hinders the operation of the heating element in washing machines, dishwashers, pressure cookers, etc. In the Netherlands, the hardness of the water is usually indicated in degrees DH (German Hardness). The value can vary greatly depending on where you live.

Limescale always costs money

  • Clogged nozzles and deposits in the shower.
  • Malfunctioning and leaking mixer taps.
  • Calcified heating element in the washing machine.
  • Higher energy consumption of geysers and boilers.
  • Maintenance costs and expensive repairs.
  • Shorter lifespan of devices.

Descaling water - how does it work?

Within an electromagnetic field, the water loses its tendency to deposit lime. This method is effective and maintenance-free. Moreover, the composition and taste of the water remain unchanged. This form of water descaling is kind to the environment and preserves the useful minerals. Because no salts and other (chemical) substances are added to the water, the quality of the tap water remains the same. This is in contrast to softeners, which remove the lime from the tap water and produce waste products.

Electronic limescale removers

Descaling water with an electronic descaler or limescale neutralizer is based on a unique technological principle. These scale removers introduce a low-frequency modulated field into the water pipe. Under the influence of that field, calcium carbonate (the dissolved lime particles) combines with the metal ions in the water. These ion compounds then flow out unimpeded with the tap water. Because no more calcium remains in the pipe network, limescale deposits are effectively prevented. Mixer taps, showers and other water-consuming appliances, such as washing machines and coffee machines, will remain free of limescale from now on.

Benefits of electronic water descaling

  • Up to 25% savings on detergent and shampoo.
  • Less cleaning work on the sanitary facilities.
  • Better functioning plumbing and equipment.
  • Significant savings on energy costs.
  • Longer life of the installation.
In short: you protect the environment and save money at the same time. The electronic scale remover contains no moving parts and is maintenance-free. Its technical lifespan is more than 20 years.

High energy costs due to limescale

Limescale makes it difficult to dissipate heat from heating elements in washing machines, dishwashers, water heaters and the like. At higher water temperatures, more lime is deposited. At 80 degrees there is three times as much limescale deposits as at 55 degrees during the same period. Limescale (scale) makes it take longer to heat up the water. A layer of lime of only 1 mm already leads to 10% higher energy costs. With a 10 mm scale deposit on a heating element, 50% more energy is needed to heat the same amount of water. Descaling water therefore prevents unnecessary energy costs.

Keep the installation lime-free

The operation of the electronic scale remover is different from a magnet with a mono-frequency field, which gradually decreases in strength over time. The Aqua scale remover produces a dynamic field that automatically adapts to its volume (passing water) and hardness (calcium concentration). This method of water treatment is suitable for all pipes and tubes, both made of metal (copper, steel, stainless steel) and plastic (PVC). The Anti-calc device has enough capacity for an entire house or even a large villa with several bathrooms and a swimming pool.

Descale water in toilet and shower

Hard water can also cause limescale deposits in the toilet bowl. Or annoying limescale in the bathtub and on the shower wall. The lime remover cannot prevent this, because the lime comes out with the water. But the deposit is less stubborn, somewhat powdery, and therefore easier to remove.

Do-it-yourself installation

A major advantage of an electronic scale remover is that you do not have to interrupt the water supply. This makes mounting on an existing pipe very easy. It also does not matter whether the pipe runs vertically or horizontally. The best place is right after the water meter, so that all pipes in the home, including the connected appliances, are protected against limescale.
