Product description
Save energy with a circulation pump switch.
This energy-saving control system is specially designed for circulation pumps in homes. The system uses a menu-driven pump control, which saves energy costs during hot water preparation and extends the lifespan of the circulation pump.
Applications
Temperature Difference Measurement
The circulation pump switch uses two sensors on the hot water circuit. One sensor measures the temperature of the outgoing hot water in the riser, while the other sensor records the temperature of the return line to the boiler. The temperature difference between the two sensors, combined with the set program, determines when the circulation pump should run. This pump switch provides significant power savings.
Benefits of the Circulation Pump Switch
- Reduced energy costs for hot water preparation.
- Suitable for both metal and plastic pipes.
- Saves on pump power consumption.
- Extended lifespan of the circulation pump.
- Contributes to the environment by reducing CO2 emissions.
- Menu with 4 Setting Options
The smart circulation pump switch includes a menu with two default settings and allows for customization to meet your needs. When a temperature change occurs within the set time interval, the circulation pump is activated. The pump automatically shuts off after the set time or once the return line reaches the desired temperature. This control ensures that the pump is completely turned off at night for optimal energy savings. In the menu, you can adjust the settings for this night mode. Modes M1 and M2 are the default settings and are ready to use.
Applications
Circulation pump switch for energy savings
Installations for hot water preparation often include a circulation pump, which ensures that hot water quickly reaches every faucet in the house. Running this pump day and night consumes unnecessary energy. The smart circulation pump switch automatically operates the pump only when hot water is needed. This method works better than speed control or a timer. In almost all existing situations, this temperature-controlled pump switch provides a better solution. Installing the pump switch is easy because you don't need to make any changes to the installation. Easily achieve significant savings in electricity costs. An additional benefit of the circulation pump switch is the extended lifespan of the pump, which requires fewer operating hours!
The tap water regulator, which operates with a flow sensor, may also be of interest.
Mode M1 - Fixed Factory Setting
Maximum pump runtime: 15 minutes
Measurement interval: 30 minutes
Mode M2 - Fixed Factory Setting
Maximum pump runtime: 15 minutes
Measurement interval: 60 minutes
In modes 3 and 4, you can customize the settings to your preferences.
Mode M3 (daily runtime)
Here, you can individually adjust the following values to meet your daily needs:
Maximum pump runtime between 1 and 30 minutes, adjustable per minute
Measurement interval from 0 to 4 hours, adjustable per 15 minutes
Mode M4 (two different runtimes)
This mode offers different settings for weekdays (Mon-Fri) and the weekend (Sat-Sun):
Maximum pump runtime between 1 and 30 minutes, adjustable per minute
Measurement interval from 0 to 4 hours, adjustable per 15 minutes
Auto-dimming display
Using the four buttons below the display, you can operate the device and adjust the settings if necessary. The display lights up when you press a button and automatically turns off after 1 minute. If no button is pressed for 60 seconds, the display automatically returns to the main menu from any submenu.
Prevent Stuck Circulation Pumps
To prevent sticking, the pump is briefly activated daily. All individual settings are stored in an EEPROM memory, ensuring they are retained during power outages.
Connection of the Pump Switch
This automatic pump switch can be used directlyin installations with a circulation pump, without interrupting the pipelines. The sensors are attached with the supplied spring clips and are suitable for both metal and plastic pipes. The pump switch control box is mounted on the wall near the boiler. Plug the circulation pump into the socket of the control box (any existing timer can be removed as this switch includes a timer function).
