Product description
Easy-to-install water valve, works like an electrically operated tap. Optionally with 1/2" and 3/4" screw connection.
With this universal water valve you can, for example, automatically top up water in a pond or aquarium. It only lets the water through when the voltage is connected.
There are 4 pre-drilled holes at the bottom. If required, you can use these to fix the valve (with self-tappers) to a strip or other flat surface.
Applications
Solenoid valve on safe low voltage
The electric water valve (solenoid valve) operates on safe 12 Volt DC voltage, e.g. from a mains adapter.
When de-energised, the water supply is blocked. If you plug the mains adapter into a water level control, the water valve will automatically remain open as long as the sensor is wet.
Protecting against dry-running
If the sensor falls dry, a level switch can automatically close the water supply. Of course, all kinds of other applications are possible.
This electric water valve works on the indirect principle, so it requires pre-pressure (from the water supply). The coil is cooled by the flowing water. When connecting, pay attention to the direction of flow, indicated by an arrow.
Water valve | half inch version
External thread: 2x 1/2
Overall length: 84 mm
Maximum height: 56 mm
Weight: 100 g
Water valve | three-quarter inch
External thread: 2x 3/4"
Overall length: 71 mm
Overall height: 59 mm
Weight: 110 g
NB: minor deviations in specifications reserved
Specifically for water valve 3/4"
Hoses with three-quarter-inch connections, such as those used for washing machines and garden accessories, fit on this version.
Tips for fitting:
1. Note the water flow direction (arrow).
2. Flush upwards (must not get wet).
3. Clamps are not polarity sensitive for + and -
4. Secure with self-tappers (holes in underside).
