Product description

The Mobeye ThermoGuard is a reliable detector for temperature alarms. In an alarm situation it sends notifications via push message, telephone call, text message or e-mail.

The temperature control is e.g. useful to prevent frost damage. Especially for outdoor use, there is the GSM Night Frost Detector.

Applications

  • Refrigerators and freezers
  • ICT server room
  • Empty premises
  • Animal housing
  • Night frost detector (in outdoor housing)

Functionalities

External sensor monitors temperature
The temperature sensor is digital and highly accurate. The minimum and/or maximum temperature limit is adjustable between -35 °C and +70 °C. The sensor is factory calibrated and gives the value accurate to decimal places.
A telephone alarm notification can be set for 1 to 5 different numbers, both mobile and landline.
Battery powered temperature alarm
The GSM temperature alarm does not depend on mains power. Its power consumption is very low and it runs for more than a year on the included batteries.
With the optional mains adapter (see picture), this GSM temperature alarm can also operate on 230 volts. This has the advantage that you will also receive a notification when the mains voltage is lost. Especially for cooling equipment, this is an important option.

Suitable for any SIM card
The wireless temperature alarm contains a GSM module, for which you can use any normal SIM card, whether subscription or prepaid.
In addition to the connection for the external temperature sensor, there are 2 voltage-free alarm inputs. Each voltage-free switch contact can serve to generate an alarm, such as an alarm contact to protect a (cold store) door or a window.

Alarm inputs
Besides the temperature sensor, the Mobeye ThermoGuard (CM4200) has two NO/NC inputs for the connection of alarm contacts and sensors. This also monitors the status of a device or external sensor, such as an air conditioner or door magnet.

Runs on batteries or mains adapter
The GSM temperature alarm runs for at least one year on a set of batteries and self-nounces when they are low.
In combination with an external adapter (choose option: with mains power + cable) you will also receive an SMS message when the mains power fails. This is often the first indication that something special is going on.

Setting options temperature alarm
The temperature alarm has many setting options, temperature limits, alarm texts of your choice, alarm repetition and alarm delay and the SMS texts.
Batteries are included; life span at least 1 year. With an ordinary SIM card it can be used immediately.

Tip: With your own cell phone, you can check in advance whether the provider offers sufficient signal at the desired location.

Added value sim/portal
As a sim card we advise to activate the included Mobeye sim card. With this the device communicates via 4G LTE-M as well as 2G and ís “multi-provider”. It chooses the strongest network on site, has a very good penetrability and thus gives a reliable connection. With the Mobeye SIM card the device is also connected to the Mobeye Portal and the Mobeye Messages app. This gives extra security and user-friendliness. The dashboard shows the status of one or more devices at a glance. Programming is done online, incoming test messages are automatically checked, in case of problems contacts are warned via app, call, SMS and/or e-mail. Forwarding to a monitoring center (PAC) is also possible. The SIM card costs € 4/month* excluding VAT (flat fee for normal use), (annual) payment is online, or -on request- on invoice. Deployable throughout Europe. *Note: prices may vary. See link below for current prices.

An own simcard is also possible (NL: KPN or Vodafone, no t-Mobile or subsidiaries). The device then works (only) via 2G and the Mobeye Portal functions are no longer required. At alarm it will call and/or sms (to max. 5 numbers). Please note that a prepaid card expires if the card is not used for too long.
