Electric underfloor heating
DIY kit for electric floor heating in the toilet/shower or any other (small) room.
The heating cable of the underfloor heating is attached to a plastic mesh mat, which you can cut to size. The thin mat is applied in tile adhesive.
Underfloor heating + thermostat
This toilet floor heating can be supplied with a built-in thermostat for controlling the temperature in the floor. You place the supplied sensor in the heated area of the floor, under the tiling.
The thermostat is infinitely adjustable with a rotary knob.
The thermostat with neutral design fits into an ordinary wall box, such as that of a light switch.
Tips for underfloor heating
1. Make a sketch on graph paper of the toilet floor. Under fixed elements, such as standing toilet bowl, no heating is allowed.
2. Draw strips 50 cm wide. The total length of these strips should be at least 2 m.
3. Unroll and cut mesh mat where necessary (see illustration).
4. Lay on sub-floor with connecting cable near thermostat.
5. Cover the mat completely with tile adhesive.
6. Apply floor tiles.

Do not shorten the cable on the mesh mat. If it is a little too long, you can cut it partially loose from the mesh and stick it next to the mat on the subfloor. Keep the same distances as the cable on the mesh mat.
