Product description
Place this plug-in thermostat between
defrost cord and wall socket. The frost protection of your water pipe will then turn on automatically as soon as the temperature has dropped too low. Set the switch-on temperature to 3 to 5 degrees above zero, so the defrost cord does not consume power at higher temperatures.
Applications
Plug-in thermostat switches on automatically
The display shows the temperature you have set. When it is colder in the relevant room, mains power comes on at the output. The connected heat ribbon becomes active and will keep the water pipe warm. From then on, the current (measured) temperature comes into view.
The plug-in thermostat is suitable for switching a heat or defrost cable that is located in one room. You can also use this thermostat to control appliances for electric heating. The 'in the socket' thermostat is particularly useful for temporary forms of frost protection. You reduce power consumption without forgetting to plug in the frost in time....
Other applications plug-in thermostat
Switching on electric auxiliary heating, e.g. a radiant heater, in a caravan, boat or other unheated room. Tip: the operation is very simple and by experimenting a little with a floor lamp you will quickly get the hang of it!
Please note: this product is not suitable for use in a stable or other damp environment! For that, we recommend the
Winter thermostat.
