Water alarm with pipe valve

This water alarm immediately stops the water supply as soon as leakage occurs. At the same time, the mains voltage is switched off at the outlet.

Pumps, machines, leaking hoses or loose couplings can cause a lot of water damage. Tip: the water detection cable sensor (see picture), with a length of 1.5 m, ensures extra fast reaction.

With this plug & play set, complete with all electrical connections and cables, you realize leakage protection. Tip: also handy when you are away: pull out the plug to block the water supply.

Water shut-off valve protects pump or machine

The voltage-controlled water shut-off valve is mounted in the supply pipe. It operates on pre-pressure from the water supply. The valve is available in various diameters (see options) and can be installed horizontally or vertically.

Interrupts mains power in case of leakage

You plug the control cable of the valve into the socket on the front of the water alarm.
You can also connect other 230 V devices, such as a pump, to this via a junction box. These are then automatically switched off in the event of a water alarm.

Only if both sensor detection pins are wet at the same time will the alarm unit switch off the 230 Volt power supply. As a result, the valve (valve) will no longer receive voltage and the water supply will stop. (This is also the case when the mains voltage fails)

Mounting the water sensor

The standard water sensor is connected to the alarm unit via a 10 m cable. You place this sensor on the floor, under the device to be protected or in the place where leakage may occur. The sensor may be mounted horizontally or vertically.
The water alarm set consists of
1.    Electronic water alarm
2.    Water sensor (see options)
3.    Brass water valve
4.    Connector + control cable (not shown)

CHECKING OPERATION

When commissioning the water alarm, it takes 20 to 30 seconds for it to open the valve. This time delay occurs only when switching on and serves to suppress momentary malfunctions.
When you wet the sensor (or hold both pins against metal), the 230-volt supply voltage is switched off. (The sensor contacts are touch-safe)

Please note that this system does not function as a water-level control system.
